Hello Lovelies
It's been too long since I had a post.
Busy mom/artist + slug slow computer = no posts :(
But I finally had some time to sit down and write about what I have been up to lately!I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day. Whether you are with someone or not it is still a day you can share love with someone - friends and family need love too!
This post in going to be a blob of all thing Amelia. A little home life, a little work life, and of course.....some makeup looks!
First off....
I had the pleasure of working with the amazing Geni Bean from Pink Owl Photography for a Valentines Day shoot with some of her models. These are all high school seniors. With my class reunion fast approaching I quickly felt old around these ladies, but that is the way of the world. I had so much fun with them. These ladies and their classmates are our future and I was happy to see such mature, driven, funny, talented young ladies ready to take the next big step in life...COLLEGE! And man where they talking about some pretty prestigious schools! They are on their way for sure!
On to Valentines day at our house. I really try and go all out for Holidays now that I am at home more and I have a little prince who's eyes just light up at the sight of all that mommy does! Here was our Valentines Day
We started our day with pink pancakes
Our Mustache Mug (my son LOVES mustaches)
Me having a little too much fun stuffing my sons Valentine Bags for school
The ladies got Lips and the gentleman got staches
Remember those homemade hangers on my other blog post? These are for his teachers. I really did make the cheesy valentine up all by myself!
Mustaches and Baseballs. That's my kid! The fabric hanging out of the bag is a pillow sham I ordered from LookHereJane on Etsy. She is so so so so sweet! I just loved working with her. I stumbled across this at the last minute and she made it and had it sent to me in time for Valentines Day.She makes all different sizes of pillow covers and does custom orders so please, head on over there and tell her the mustache mom sent you! :)
"I Mustache you a Question, Will you be my Valentine?"
My gift: he knows me too well. Who needs flowers when you can have makeup!
Some more decor I added since my last post. The banner says "Be Mine" it's from Target
Our Valentines Dinner: Heart Shaped Pizza!
I can't take credit for this photo, it is not mine. I found it from a friend who found it from someone....you know how it goes. I just wanted to post this because it makes my heart melt! There are no words for how adorable and inspiring this is!
NOW ON TO SOME MAKEUP!
Here's two looks I created that work well for Valentines Day or ANY day really!
Dramatic Eye with False Lashes
For Photos Above-Products Used: All MAC
Pinkie Pro Pencil as eye base-Vivid Pink & Cool Pink Pigments with a little Stars & Rockets on lid-Crease was Passionate, Plumage, and Nocturnell shadows. (a lot of Plumage as you can see) Transition Color (the color between your crease and brow highlight) was Pen'n'Pink & Pink Venus. Brow Highlight is Dazzlelight (not shown) Liner is Black Track Fluidline- Bottom Liner is Blacktrack, Plumage & Starts & Rockets- Lashes are random ones leftover from Halloween.
For a more natural look
For the Natural Look- Products Used: Almost all MAC
Base was a shadestick in Gracious Me (they don't sell it anymore but any light pink tone will work. Lid is Motif eyeshadow- Crease is Pen'n'Pink-Outer Crease is Fig 1.-Brow Highlight is Dazzlelight (not shown)-Liner is thin line of Blacktrack with a thicker line of Waveline. Waveline and Fig 1. on the bottom as liner. I also rimmed my lower waterline with Tarte EmphasEYES- No lashes, just my sad natural ones.
I made a stop by the local MAC counter to see a dear friend of mine and decide to pick up some new lip products. Archie's Girls is all the rage right now and is MAC's newest collection. Clearly with what I bought below, I am a Total Betty! Check out the lips below:
Top Lipstick: Girl Next Door. Bottom Lipstick: Betty Bright. Blush: Cream Soda
Hip'n'Happy liner with "Girl Next Door" lipstick
This was a red lip that I featured on my Instagram for Valentines Day. I love this red because it's not too pink, orange, brown, dark, or bright. Its just perfect for A LOT of skin tones. It's Chicory liner and Viva Galm1 both from MAC.
So that's all Ive got today! I'm going to try to do better at keeping the blog up! I have SO MANY things I want to talk about. I have SO MANY new products to share with you. I thought about doing a video but I'm not that good at editing Anyway. Thanks for stopping by. See ya soon!
